I'm so glad you're here.
None of us are meant to walk through this thing alone.
Being seen & heard
in an objective, non-judgmental way
is incredibly helpful.
Acquiring the ability to see and hear
yourself
in a non-judgemental way
can be profoundly
healing.
Stephanie Dowling, LPC
I earned a masters degree in Clinical Mental Health at Immaculata University. My career as a counselor began as a behavioral health therapist at Caron Treatment Centers and I have since become a Licensed Professional Counselor in private practice.
Before I became a wife and a mother, I owned and operated several gynastics schools in New York City. Extensive teaching experiences have lead to an expertise in breaking things down into parts that can be easily understood, assimilated and accomplished. Helping individuals understand their strengths, and how to utilize them, continues to find an avenue of expression in my work.
My education and training, these life experiences and more than twenty years of continual sobriety have become the ground from which I approach my profession.
I've found them all to be invaluable resources of identification and empathy
as clients allow me to walk with them through their own stories.
I am beyond thrilled that this is what I get to do for work and
I am Honored to have the opportunity to be helpful.

Any of these issues may be life-long, newly born, or based on current circumstances.
They may be stand-alone issues or intertwined with any, some, or all of the others that are listed here. Sometimes it's easy to put a finger on what it is and sometimes it's hard to figure out.
Clarity, Accuracy, Action & Choice.
These are my specialties.
No matter the combination, the frequency, or the intensity, it is possible to detangle, see clearly, keep what you need and leave the rest by trying on and choosing a variety of solutions.
